Joyce Esther Tunnell Carr

Asheville - Joyce Tunnell Carr, 77, of Asheville NC, died at home Tuesday, January 26, after a short battle with illness. A native of Johnson City, Tennessee, Joyce is the daughter of the late Beauford and Lucy Tunnell. Predeceased by husband, Dick Carr of Johnson City. Joyce is survived by her daughter, Mindy Belz and husband, Nat, of Asheville; son, Rick Carr and wife, Amy, of Richmond, VA; and seven grandchildren. The family extends its heartfelt thanks to the devoted hospice staff of CarePartners. A small, private celebration of Joyce's life will be held at a later date.
